Keto Diet and Low Carb Diets for Weightloss

Low carb diets have been around for a long time. The rage today seems to be the Ketogenic diet. This is the stricter form of the low-carb diet. To achieve ketosis the daily intake of carbs ranges between 24 to 45 grams of carbs depending on the person! There are other recommendations for fats and protein.

Some complaints about keto are the absence of fruit because fruits are high in sugar. There are some fruits listed below that are relatively low in net carbs.


· Raspberries (1 cup) – 6.5 grams of net carbs

· Strawberries (1cup) – 8.0 grams of net carbs

· Blackberries (1 cup) – 7.1 grams of net carbs
